Please notice the roundness and how each side of the sloped opening takes on the impression of hands. This is a Martian style of sculpting. Their artistic calling-card seems to be subtleness in making objects that we would understand as "hands", "faces", "arms", "legs", "bare feet",
"mouths" etc. Almost like, giving us never enough to be totally convinced, but enough for Martians to take their artistry to perfection in the way they want it to be.
Almost as if their sculptures are too sacred to give it all away quickly and obviously, the way we do faces! Such as in our culture, pretty faces gets in the media quite a bit easier than one that was not born with extreme outward beauty. And many hollywood idols become famous because of it.
In Martian culture, it seems like pretty faces are creatures that used to live upon their lands! And their beauty is sculpting how they were taken away from them in antiquity, when they lost their precious atmosphere in antiquity!
The Martians seem to put beauty in their representations of segmented lands and creatures. The way our make-up artists put beauty in the stars of Hollywood!
