Looks like a "fabric" mesh to strengthen seam! Please ZOOM IN for clarity !
Why Would Martians Allow Their Story Sculptures To Be Allowed To Be Buried Under Sand? I think that is one main reason for "fabric apron underlayment" ! I think it is a big deal for martians to have Curiosity Rover visit their memorial areas that are full of story sculptures ! Telling stories of how they lost their atmosphere and their planet destroyed in extreme antiquity! Plus, I'm sure much more ! June 16th, 2017
Why so much evidence of fabric ! Clearly the martians are telling stories. But the stories wouldn't make any sense what so ever if they where to fall and move all over the place!
There is a reason for seeing so much obvious type of fabric! That is, it makes the figurines and smaller sculptures, maybe even larger sculptures hold better. Making sure we know of their disasters in extreme antiquity when they lost their atmosphere and their planet's surface destroyed!
The reason I lean towards the use of a type of martian fabric is because it would be much less messy than sticking epoxy like glue under each figurine to tell their stories. Which obviously involves thousands of figurines, smaller sculptures. There seems to be a two sided velcro as in the smaller x example below the boy being hung up like velcro ! :)
1. Under the figurine and 2. A type of fabric that has the receiving end of what is under the figurines etc. Enabling the underlayment to have the figurines stick to it !
What is a clue to the truth of what I'm saying! Notice slopes of thousands of figurines which are clearly on a tilt! But they always seem to stay in place. At first I thought it was all sand! But I'm saying it just can't be.
There is TONS of evidence that the figurines are on a type of fabric. And I'm starting to think it is a type of velcro etc!
Fabric as apron underlayments for their sculptures ! Janurary 9th, 2016 http://marsmobile.jpl.nasa.gov/msl/multimedia/raw/?rawid=1302ML0061911330405708E01_DXXX&s=1302
More "fabric" liners as underlayments for martian sculptures! My theory is that they are used to help in transporting their sculptures from their underground cities up to the outside to their memorial areas.
And I also think they are aids in installing figurines, glued-in such as way as to be combined in the aid of the story they need to convey. And as far as I have seen, they seem to be related to the loosing of their atmosphere and the surface of their planet destroyed in extreme antiquity !
One of the best examples I've found yet of "fabric liners"! Underlayments for sculptures to rest on!
I also think it is away for martians to make the sculptures, transport them out to their memorial sites ! Plus, add textures or other three-dimensional figurines etc.
Fabric that is moldable August 15th, 2016 Martians seem to want complete control of their sculptures. So they formulate the sand by putting a fabric on top of the sand. And the sand must contour the desired fit of the sculptures above it, by a fabric that can adjust the sand. Such as in the case of the cartoon like whale. Notice how it comes out of an object! Martians seem to do that all the time. Like a small tail like pointer to indicate it is coming out from under something that is obviously sculpted for that particular story!
Over and over again I see creases in sand that must be a type of moldable fabric for sculptures to rest on! Small image url : http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/msl-raw-images/msss/01429/mcam/1429MR0070700020702615E01_DXXX.jpg

A mixture of fabric flooring, a type of Martian-plaster for molding sculptures in a three dimensional way! March 4th, 2016 https://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/msl-raw-images/msss/01269/mcam/1269ML0059450070504369E01_DXXX.jpg

Plus, two other Curiosity Mascam images I put in the main image! The other two images are also in the "Fabric" category!
One main reason why I put "Fabric" under "Hints of a current civilization", is because fabric would not be so uniform if it was installed in antiquity!
Apron-Like Fabric With Small Rocks In It Too Look Like Sand February 29th, 2016 http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/msl-raw-images/msss/01264/mcam/1264ML0059120000504270E01_DXXX.jpg
Mars Flat Thin Material Under Sculpture-Dioramas and figurines etc? January 28th, 2016 https://d2cj35nmzi9erd.cloudfront.net/msl-raw-images/msss/00988/mcam/0988MR0043680000503068E01_DXXX.jpg
Felt-Like Hand December 29th, 2015 So much off what I see in so many sculpture landscapes, seems to be a felt like thick material that can be built up with added texture and thickness and can be hardened and molded!
Though I understand we get the impression it is outdoors. Many things are truly odd on mars, at least from an earthlings standpoint!
Fabric such as a type of canvas that is good for placing figurines for Martian stories. It seems to stick extremely well and can be built up in places to make it more three dimensional! https://d2cj35nmzi9erd.cloudfront.net/msl-raw-images/msss/01198/mcam/1198MR0054920000602706E01_DXXX.jpg
More Fabric At Floor Level December 25th, 2015
Not a bad view of the "white" either ! Through out the images of the white lines, the more you look at them, the more you realize they are like little figurines with fine designs https://d2cj35nmzi9erd.cloudfront.net/msl-raw-images/msss/01201/mcam/1201MR0055160000602789E01_DXXX.jpg
