Notice in so many, many photos that "white" lined squares and "white" grabber-like pincher-hands are demonstrations to give examples of what the sculptured story is about and the figurines surrounding the diorama like sculptures!  Notice how "white" seemingly is is a highlight to the sculptures and notice how the "green" object is centered to true to the brown underneath it !  To further in aiding the story! Again, notice how "white" lines are not only demonstrations of the story involved but they so often seem to be "action" oriented !  Like our english language would utilize "verbs" to represent action. But of course these "white" lines are much more visual and sculptured oriented.

Like we would liken it to dioramas, but only the martian dioramas seem centered around the loss of their creatures in extreme antiquity and that so many, many sculptures are memorial related!  As if we would go to a graveyard and see sculptured dioramas and figurines of our dead ancestors, but in the case of martians, they seem to tell storied centered around the loss of their creatures. But of course I also think they are related to the martians themselves and the hard work they had to do to clean up the martian surface after the extreme ancient calamity that I think and say, led them to seek refuge underground and afterwords the terrible clean up had to be undertaken !
